Depending on previous university credit or educational goals, students are free to choose the path that is appropriate for them by starting with a certificate, associate degree, or immediately starting from their undergraduate degree.
Once students are accepted to attend BYU-Idaho Online, they can contact the advisor for additional program planning assistance via onlineadvising@byui.edu email.
Eligibility: To be eligible to join the BYU-Idaho online program, students must: a) successfully complete PathwayConnect with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, or b) earn at least 15 credits on campus at one of the universities or universities operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Individuals who do not meet either of these requirements should consider joining PathwayConnect.

PathwayConnect is a cheap educational opportunity that combines online courses with local meetings. Participants gain valuable skills that will serve them throughout their lives and in pursuit of a bachelor's degree. As a program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, students will also receive the spiritual benefits of the gospel education. Successfully completing PathwayConnect allows students the opportunity to take the BYU-Idaho degree online.
Registration in unison
Joint Registration Program BYU-Idaho Online gives middle and senior high school students the opportunity to start earning BYU-Idaho credits while still in high school. Students tied to BYU-Idaho will also have an alternative to take an Advanced Placement or other concurrent enrollment course that may not meet the BYU-Idaho Foundation requirements.
Tuition
PathwayConnect students: PathwayConnect graduates enrolled in the BYU-Idaho online program continue to pay the same lecture rates per credit that they paid during PathwayConnect. Visit the PathwayConnect college page to see current rates.
Other Students: Individuals who do not participate in PathwayConnect pay a regular deposit of $ 163 per credit (up to 11 credits per semester). Students who take more than 11 credits per semester pay a flat rate of $ 1,960 *.
Fees
Registration Fee: $ 35 (payable only once)
Textbooks: Fees for textbooks vary based on individual course students. To see the fees associated with individual courses, please visit our Course List.
Students who pay $ 45 or less per credit while on PathwayConnect will receive the benefits of the subject matter, which will include all textbooks and other material costs for an additional 10 percent of their semester tuition.
